“Bonjour, Mes Amis, Bonjour!” This year was Miss Nancy’s first long distance teaching experience with Little Blessings of Pottstown Daycare. These toddlers learned to speak French, Spanish, and German as they sang along with Miss Nancy at her studio piano in Texas. Here they are accompanying Miss Nancy on their handmade horns. Bravo, mes amis!

Baroque con Brio rides again, with flutist Donna Jerz, violinist Beverly Minz, and pianist Nancy Hansen! On the agenda this year were performances at Friendswood Friends Church and Brookdale Nursing Homes in both Houston and Friendswood. Residents sang “Let Me Call You Sweetheart,” “Give My Regards to Broadway,” and many more favorites from the old days.

Have you gotten your Dust Buster 2 and /or Piano Maestro apps? Many students are now practicing their sight-reading and rhythm on these lively apps, which can be used anywhere on iPhones and iPads. Please note that Dust Buster 2 can be used on both iPhone and iPad, but Piano Maestro can be only be accessed on iPad. Check your email, parents, for Connection Invitation to Piano Maestro from Miss Nancy who assigns stylized lessons in the Home Challenge. This is an entertaining way to continue and retain piano knowledge from prior lessons over the summer.

Remember to attend the Houston Young Artist’s Concert Jun 30, 2015, 11 a.m., at Miller Outdoor Theatre.
